This is from memory as I sold my car a couple of years ago. Split the quick release assemblies, fit one part to the car and thread other part into the bonnet frame. Then fit the bonnet without the pins and adjust the position of the arms (into the bonnet frame) so the bonnet catches at the base of the windscreen just sit on top of the catch plates. Then you should be able to lock up the quick release, insert the pins, and a gentle press on the bonnet at the top corners should lock it into place.
Once the quick release pins ae set up correctly it will go back into the same place each time.
Don't forget to apply plenty of Copperease (or equivalnet) to both the quicxk release join and the pin. Don't want to turn the quick release into another fixed bonnet mechanism!!!
