Model change year

I have 2004 mini cooper convertible -R52?
Is a 2006 convertible cooper still the same body type - R52 ?

When did the convertible get the model change ?

A 2004 R52 will be the same shape as a 2006 - the new shape Convertible didn't go on sale until March '09.

Thats good news - I just fitted a second hand roof to my 2004 cooper it was from a 2006 model so it should be the correct one
for some reason the sunroof section wont close right up to the screen frame it stops short by about 10mm
I was thinking it was for a later model
I now need to find out why it wont close all the way ???
