Do you buy a kit to build or just to collect?
I've recently been looking at old/rare model kits & found myself wondering if I bought them would I actually build them. Generally I only buy things that interest me & want to build (that's the point, right?) but looking at some of the older stuff brings me into a conflict of interest. Some of these kits are extremely rare (and expensive) & I think are destined to just be left in the box, unbuilt. To me that's a waste but understand why. I'd always be tempted to build them though.

I've got a few old Revell kits in boxes on display in my office, purely out of sentimental value. Other than that I have no interest in hoarding kits for the sake of it, I'd rather just build them.

I always buy with the intention of building them

That's always my plan too. Although it hardly ever works out that way.

idea Buy two, build one and 'collect' the other.
