Just looking at the classifieds and this makes an interesting choice - new Cayman S which is £60k with any decent options, vs. at £69k..... second hand 991 with great spec, or 991S with a few more miles and ok spec.

Which would you go for?

Personally I went for the Cayman, I get it next week. Having driving both I preferred the smaller & more nimble car.

Shame you didn't wait until October - I'd have had it off you.

I was going to say that you've got greyer since I last saw you, but Craig sort of got there first smile

Can you start a new thread on your thoughts of CR v Spyder?

I've not driven the new Caymen but my mate has an early one and he loves it.

I've driven a 991 and loved it.

For me it would be a second hand 991.

I can dream smile

Lots of Chi/Kor/Jap lady friends? Go 991, you can always stick two in the back seat on a Sat night plus two in the passenger seat.

Like driving on your todd? Go Cayman R.

Price difference between the 991 & CR? £20k

I'd be tempted with the 991.

Against a new Cayman S, more difficult but probably the 991.

Lovely looking car mrdemon.

I'm with you on this. A more engaging drive and certainly less depreciation than a 991.

I'm amazed that people can make their decision without even driving one or even two of the options.

As I understand it, the best buy, pound for pound, is the new 981 Cayman 2.7.

Apparently, this is the new '911' and, at £45k lightly spec'd, it makes a convincing case, IMO
