Hi,

I need to hire a can to pick up a clam for my brother's VX220 on Saturday morning. Unfortunately mine is busy at the Beaulieu Boat Jumble, so any recommendations for van hire, other than the usual Abacus, U-Drive?

Needs to be fairly local to New Milton, collect Friday night, take back Saturday afternoon.

Cheers,

Dan

My last few hires i have had have been mixed results, europcar was really bad and tried to charge me after for fuel they hadn't put in and charged me tax on top of the tax already on the fuel so worked out at over £2.50 a litre! Soon refunded me when I kicked off that it would have been physically impossible to have put in what they had charged me for!

Last one I used was enterprise and can't fault them and well priced even offered to collect and take home after!

Thanks. Enterprise timings are no good. They close at 12:00 on Saturday. I wanted to use Northgate in Southampton (only £30!) but again, they close at 12:00 on Saturday. It's unlikely I'll be able to get to Northampton, back to New Milton to unload and then to Southampton to drop off before 12:00!

Can you not just drop off and leave the keys most places let you do that?

Be very careful with Northgate Dan, my lad just rented one very cheap for the day upon returning it they held his £250 deposit for a small scratch on the front wing! He knows he done it but was shocked when they said that wouldnt cover the damage. Estimate about £80 from Chips Away or similar. Im taking the legal route up with them now as they wouldnt allow me to hire the same van for the day to get it repaired................scumbagsfurious
