Hello all,
Looking at putting together a little run for some fish and chips. Thoughts being on Weymouth. roads into the area are very good thanks to olympic funding and i love blasting under the bridges routes in from the north are supposedly very good from yeovil and bristol and I know for a fact the routes from southampton and exeter are great fun also (hence this thread pushing into the south coast forum as most there will take ownership of Weymouth )
long range weather reports put may as a very good month with things possibly taking a bit of a downturn as the so called summer progresses. also i fear a july/august time may cause us to have some conflict with tourist traffic in and around the area. this could possibly be an issue from now which is why i would suggest a sunny sunday evening get together.
location i have in mind is weymouth pavilion car park. very large and walking distance to any fish and chip shop your prefer. also a good excuse to send the missus off on the beach while the blokes talk cars .

Any opinions welcome and local knowledge very much appreciated. Please tally your names in the chart below of which date you would be available/prefer.

Getting to Weymouth from the East for 17:00 would be the dullest,most tedious drive imagineable. Can we meet at 5am, go for a blast, then come back for the grub?

if there was high demand for that kind of plan then it is something to be considered. traffic outwards would be high a 5pm and inwards should be quiet. the biggest issue is always traffic when on a run and also im not sure how people would feel about getting up at 3am to make it there. i know many like their sunday lunch and when there isnt top gear the sunday evenings are rather dull

nope. just a catchy title.
there are loads of chippy shops on the front at weymouth so thought it a good idea to make that the reason to go there. also a convoy along the sea front would be good fun.

not quite having the uptake i anticipated. looking like a failed attempt
everyone will end up travelling in alone due to where they live so no convoy fun. had hoped for it to be a biggy and drag to regions together.
