996 temporary bellows repair
Discussion
Hi.
The spoiler bellows on my 1998 996 has a two inch split at one of the folders. I understand this is a common problem and a relatively easy fix, but the car is Hartech maintained and I'd like them to attend to it next time it is in for a service. It may well not be covered on the plan, but I'd prefer them to do the work if possible.
In the meantime, would it be wise to make a temporary repair to the bellows to stop the split from getting any worse? Is it possible to easily get to the rear of the bellows so that I could tape it up for the moment?
Thanks in advance.
