Continental X King 2.2 - good for Brechfa?

Hi All,

Have the bike below and it's got Continental X King 2.2's on. I've put a few miles on them and found them ok thus far on local XC trails, only issue was in thick mud they were a little skittish,

Off to Brechfa in May and also probably Doethie Valley will these Conti's be sufficient?

Typical Welsh trail centre. Well drained and/or slate/rock. They'll be fine, as would most/all MTB tyres.

this, though some tyres are better than others... I've been running softer compound maxxis tyres at trail centres and they offer noticeably more grip than "regular" tyres.

IME Brechfa is the tamest of the South Wales centres so you won't need particualrly beefy tyres.

I find Continental car tyres brilliant, their MTB tyres pants.

Spent a lot on MKs (the chilli ones) and they were so bad I gave them away.

I stick with Schwalbe now and find Nobby Nics do almost everything very well and last ages too - the Double Defense ones also seem borderline puncture proof.
