Here's what I think is one of the nicest little stretches of road in the South. It's not massive, can probably be covered in maybe 10 minutes.

When I had my 911, I used to drive 40 minutes from my house just to get to this bit of road. At all the times I have driven it, day and night, I have never even come across another car using it, in either direction. It just seems to be one of those roads that no-one really uses, or maybe only locals use it from time to time. But it is a fantastic driving road, and there is no way you'll ever find any coppers or speed traps there - it's just so tucked away.

It starts off very fast, 100 leptons plus, with really good visibility if you're up for that kind of thing, and then condenses a bit through a wooded section, with lots of nice medium-speed turns.

As I have now sold my Porsche, I haven't been down to it in a while - so in the spirit of PH, I thought I might share a good thing that I have kinda kept secret so far!

It's the B2141, and it branches off the A286 between Midhurst and Chichester. It is best driven from the Chichester end, and finishes up back in Petersfield. So it's a good road for people coming home from the Goodwood breakfast club.

It doesn't look much on the map below, but trust me it is deserted and great!

Enjoy, fellow PH'ers...

The Harting to Lavant road? That's my route to Goodwood and Chi. A nice stretch.

Another of my favourites in the small hours is the A281 towards Brighton out of Cowfold - used to love taking my bikes down there, and my RX8. Fantastic mix of bends.

We've had many a run out on here en route to the various BC's, cracking drive with a bit of everything! Back in the monsoon season the road was closed due to flooding, diversion took you down into one of the villages then back up on to the flooded road!! Great medium speed chassis wash!

I love this road, you can carry on to Petersfield then hoof it past Priors Dean over the rolling fields, to the A32 and beyond. That 50-mile wide area of Sussex/Hampshire is great and reasonably uncongested.
