I cannot begin to tell you how tempting this is;

So wrong and yet, somehow, so right!

I saw this Lagonda on eBay and I was going to start exactly the same thread. Personally, I don't have anywhere near enough money to resolve this but I've always been smitten by the early pre-facelift styling since I saw a black one at the entrance to the Beaulieu Motor Museum when I was a teenager. The factory even did a turbocharged prototype of this back when the Bulldog was about so you know what to do.

Oh f*ck it - you're a long time dead.
I think the plan will be to get it mechanically/structurally bang-on with as little cosmetic fettling as I can get away with.
See - in my mind I've bought the b*stard already

We looked closely into buying one of these in the 90's at the time we had run a succession of RR Silver Shadows.
I don't remember all the bits and pieces I learnt at the time but in case you didn't know from the pictures that car is early enough that it has fixed rear windows which would also mean the 'moon roof' is fixed too. This may not bother you but that means you are reliant therefore on ventilation from the front windows and making sure the aircon works properly. Also as well as the boot being quite shallow the rear lights are repeated on the underside of the bootlid which robs yet more space if you wanted to take luggage for 4 etc.,..
Don't get me wrong I love them but at the time I was tasked with finding a regular driver for my dad but head ruled heart and we ended up buying what was at the time probably the best Silver Shadow II in the UK.
I am not trying to put you off it is just I know from experience not many people realise about the fixed windows and other foibles.
