I am replacing the rear vinyl stone guards on the rear wheel arches of my '88 3.2 Carrera. The ones I'm removing are textured but most of the after market replacements are smooth. Who knows hich design are as per the OE original?

Because my car is a narrow bodied Carrera and not wide arched version (930 or Supersport) the OPC wouldn't have the correct width for my car.

I have had it confirmed that the original spec are a textured finish so that's what I'm now sourcing. The car is going in to the bodyshop at the end of April to get some tidying up of the rear wheel arches (Not corrosion, just parking damage by a previous owner badly repaired)If any one knows where I can buy these textured ones please let me know.

Found what I needed on http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/

An excellent site that I was pointed in the direction of by a friend. Two of the proper textured ones posted and for less than half the price of one side OE one.

Thanks for the help guys.

A good site? Perhaps, but the last firm Id recommend that you deal with.

I know they have an horrendous reputation but I have used them in the past and it has just worked as you would expect.

Its when it doesn't go as youd expect that you enter a wold of ste. In-joke: I prefer Club Autosport's way of dealing with them.

Oh God, this doesn't sound like the best decision I have ever made then? A friend of mine has used them and had no problems though, hope my experience is similar? They said when I ordered my parts I'd have them today..........

Hope so, based on the feed back on here and Porsche enthusiast forum I phoned the shop at lunch time to get a tracking number for the courier, just as well as they claimed the order had not been processed due to adebit credit card refusal. They had taken down the long number incorrectly when I placed the order despite the operative reading it back correctly at the time. Odd thing was the guy today also read back my phone number correctly though no one had bothered to call me to query the card number. Here's hoping the items come in time for the car going in to the paint shop for it's wee tidy up?

Oh yes - aside from their inability to process an order right first time, it sounds like it went swimmingly.

If they can make a mess of taking your order, imagine what they're like when you're not happy with what you bought or they send the wrong item or even a used item which of course they don't sell.

Well my order went OK for me but for goodness sake if they couldn't get something so simple right God help them. I have to say the 3M product I received was of excellent quality.

I understand you other guys had some serious problems, all sounds like they could be a dodgy lot with something more complicated.
