Gone in backwards I guess due to the standing baby trees still, er standing.
It's odd though as there are no 'tram' lines marking his/her trajectory.
Hope car is without much damage
Zoom is my friend - think I can see the tram marks. Trajectory looks like he should have hit trees near front driver side. Wonder if he steered backwards away (left hand down)

We were out today on the South Wales Run and if this is the same car, we passed it earlier in the day when it was in convoy with a 996 Turbo a 997 Carrera, Ferrari 360 Spyder, Lotus Evora and a few others.
The conditions were shocking up on the Brecon Beacons with wind, rain, standing water and fog.
Hopefully the driver is OK, and that the car has minimal damage.

Why does it need recovering? Is it just because its bogged down in the dirt? It's odd though as there are no 'tram' lines marking his/her trajectory.

nice to see cars getting used as intended in all weathers. i was there down there last weekend, roads are very challenging. had very sweaty palms all day, cup tyres, wet roads and snow. made for some fun driving, had two big moments. probably just a faze i'm going through but a good day was had
nice to see the gt3 came away unscaved.

Having had a very similar accident in my 968 last year I know how quickly the pendulum effect takes hold when the rear tyres are floating and you become a passenger
I would have got away with a scrape and mild embarressment if another PHer had not had the same accident an hour earlier
Glad this one seems to have got away mildly thankfully

So then, Porsche say the GT3 MUST wear cup tyres that are very poor in the wet if you want to retain your warranty.
If you want to retain your life and use different tyres your warranty is invalid.
Nice!
Not quite - but you do have to have N rated tyres on. For the 7.1 at least, the manual doesn't even mention tyre makes (Cup etc), just the sizes, which are the same as for a C4S.If you want to retain your life and use different tyres your warranty is invalid.
Nice!

The comments are nothing compared to some of the positively libellous tripe which appear in the Pork section on here I accept no responsibility for the dumb comments! Subaru drivers for you!

Glad it wasn't too serious by all accounts. These cars are tough old girls; it's probably fine once the cosmetics have been tidied up.
