Catlike helmets any experience?

Was looking at a new helmet today and in one of the lbs they have a selection of catlike helmets.

Have to admit I quite like the look of them, have a nice Movistar coloured one but at about £100 I was wondering if any one has had experience of these.

Any good? Worth the money?

I bought my whisper purely on the basis it looked good.
The cooling design works well and enough pros wear them so must be good in a crash.

With the same budget, I just bought a Giro Atmos in matte black. IMO it looks a lot nicer than the slightly odd Catlikes!

Have to admit I did look at it for the looks. Glad to hear its good at cooling. Do tend to get very hot while riding, being the not so fit as I should!

On the same budget I went for the Kask K50, very 'adjustable' and cradles the lower part of the base of the skull so fits like a glove. Also has a lot of vents and channels in the inner part of the lid - can't recommend it highly enough.

Never seen anyone wearing one in this country, but you see plenty on the european cross scene.

Popped into the Halfords in Farnborough, on the Blackwater shopping centre (Farnborough gate), yesterday, while the wife returned some stuff to Next.

Wow! New look layout upstairs in 'bikeland', and I have to say I liked it. Not experienced the 'Catlike' helmets myself, but among the new stock, they had a full selection of Catlike stuff, and I liked what I saw. I bought a Uvex 'Boss Race' in carbon-look white, but if I'd been able to get a close look at the Catlike, it would have leapt straight to the top of the pile.

Among the other new bits and bobs in Halfords was the new range of Colnago bikes (beautiful looking, but way over-priced for my liking), a much better selection and display of Boardman bikes and kit, and Elite rollers and Turbo Trainers, which I've not seen in Halfords before. It seems to me that they are deliberately trying to achieve the look and feel of a higher-end LBS, and compared to how their shops looked/felt before, I'd say they have gone some way to achieving their aim.
