Took my 59 plate 911 under extended warranty into the local OPC who have had it for two days due to increasing levels of water condensation in both rear lights.

Just had a phone call saying amount of water not sufficient to replace lights so they have drained and refitted.

Does this sound right, quick google says other 09/59 cars have had them fixed/replaced with no issues.

Anyone else had a similar problem? I know the fact that they are LED will be part of the issue due to the lack of heat but the amount of water seems to be getting worse.

Cheers

I get a bit of that on cold days. Pretty well comes with LED lights and I don't really expect to do anything about it unless I spot fish.

Not the end of the world. The light unit itself comes out easily. Heat it with a hairdryer for a bit and this should sort the problem.

Doesn't happen in my BMW LED rear lights!

I was chatting to a chap who had a nearly new 997 Turbo S at Dunsfold when I ran my 997 up the runway for Wings & Wheels and he had the same problem and from memory Porsche weren't interested regardless of the fact he clearly spent some money with them (also had a GT3 etc.) He was the chap who runs a Porsche forum and is in a battle with the Porsche Club, can't remember his name.

My Cayman S gen 1 (non led) rear lights do this too as do the front fogs!

Does it on mine too, doesn't bother me a jot. I've yet to own a car that didn't have misty lights at some point!

Had mine replaced under warranty, seemed to have less water than yours.

I just had both replaced on my Gen 2 RS on warranty, one was like your picture the other was much worse, OPC initially said they were not covered, but after some discussion they agreed.
