up diddly up not down diddly down

not really bothered me, but parking is a pain without em... leccy mirrors:
once I select the right side, down makes it go up..up makes it go up.
neither of which is very useful when you are trying to dip the nearside to see the kerb.
anyone else got this problem ? just wondering if it is a know trevor thang with an easy fix.

I've noticed this before on mine.
It seems that there is a maximum amount of travel in the mirrors and once you reach the furthest limit the mirror leaps to the furthest opposite extent and then refuses to move.
Occasionally going sideways and then down seems to get around the problem but move it too far and you have to start again

They're not all the same then! My left hand side appears to be up for up and down for up about 60% of the time. At the moment I am still putting this down to user error, though!
god knows. as an electronic engineer by education the mind boggles as to how you can make such a simple bit of leccy circuitry so badly.
My fan also has a mind of its own.. sometimes going on and off at will.. sometimes requiring one to switch on the windscreen wipers to activate it !!!
Did TVR buy in all the Italian electronic designers when alpha sacked em all in the 70s ?
The windy winders is another one.. I mean.. eh ? eh ? what genius thought:
"I know.. we make them so that in order to wind the window down you need to be blessed with natural rhythm"

do it too quick... nowt happens.. do it too slow.. there is a queue of traffic behind you at the pay barrier.
one push down ? I fart on your 'modern one push down' windows! The pleasure I get from fiddling with a brass winder for minutes each time I get in the car after locking it to get the windows back down... makes my day that does....

This is fairly normal. For some unfathomable reason they seem to have computerised the mirrors - rather than just have a simple circuit where flicking the up switch connects power to a motor which makes it go up.
When the mirror control goes haywire on mine the best way is to turn the ignition fully off and on again. This seems to “re-boot” the mirror controller and it works.
