What CAR is your BIKE most like...

Following on from this thread... http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... ...in which the OP was looking to buy a 'cheapish bike', he used the analogy: " I would be looking at the Dacia Duster or Skoda Octavia of the bike world", so I thought I'd pose the question...
Knowing the characteristics of YOUR bike, which car, current, or classic, would you compare it to, and why?
I'll start with my Falcon Pro-Line (bought new for £230 in April 1997)...
...which I would compare to one of it's contemporaries in terms of age...
...the humble Ford Mondeo.
Mostly used for commuting, shopping, and occasional days out. Reliable(up to now), unmodified, and running on mostly original components, it's now seen better days, with rims slightly out of true, fading brakes, gear selection issues, and some worrying wear to the bearings in the steering system.

I think the Cervelo is a Bentley Continental GT. Its fast, its comfortable, its overpriced and everyone thinks the owner is a cock.
The Cotic BFe is a an old school Mercedes G-Wagen. A bit primative, not quite the perfect off roader but not far off...
The Saracen Hardtrax is similar to my first car, a mk3 Fiesta, old, rusty, from the 80s, needs some tlc but its never going to get any....
I have recently acquired an old Specilased Hardrock as well, its heavy (33lbs!!!) and slow, its supposed to be an offroader but its not even close, it can be one of those hidieous Rover Streetwise things with the plastic exterior trim and raised suspension...
My old Boardman was a Vauxhall VX220, great fun, fast, better than people would ever admit but let down by the badge association.

My CAAD9 is like a modern 911 GT3 but owner specced with a sunroof, aircon, full interior, no cage, a stereo and 16” steel wheels. The engine is akin to that low compression 2.0L from a Pinto. Large, heavy, basic and producing precious little power.
My Kirk Revolution is like one of those small volume British sports cars from the 90s, perhaps a Marcos Mantara. Challenging looks, questionable build quality and has required near constant attention to keep it operable. Engine – Rover V8 – for the same reasons as above.

My Spicy (316) is like a 335i (I'll avoid the obvious comparison with a 316i, it's much nicer than that) it's fast and capable, but not terribly exciting to look at and you see them everywhere, the preceding (and sadly stolen) 516 was more like an M3, largely the same thing, slightly flasher to look at and cost 50% more for 5% more performance.
My old Enduro was like a clubman series saloon racer, very few original parts, held together with hope and best wishes and still able to go like hell.
My Cover Shocker was like a Group B rally car, very loud and brash and a total, total pig to ride unless you were totally committed and capable, more capable than me.

I've got a 2012 Giant 29er, but it's pretty basic. It's a bit like a 4wd Ford Kuga, in that it will soft-road, but you wouldn't want to do anything too exciting on it.
I've also got a 2011 Trek 2.3 Road Bike, which looks like a roadie, but is modified a bit to be more resilient due to my build and the length of rides I like to do. So it's a GT that looks like a racer. So BMW 330d with an M3 body kit?
I'm also about to get a Brompton, but with lightweight titanium bits on it. Maybe it's a bit like a one of those Japanese Kei cars, with the boost turned up to 11.
Either way, the engine in all bikes is more theirsty diesel than anything else. I use a lot of fuel and plod along dependably, yet not spectacularly quickly!
