I need my car trailering from Southampton to Bolton for some garage work. I have been on the net and registered on a site that offers to get quotes for you, and had quotes varying from £200 - £400.

Anyone done this sort of thing before, anything to look out for? It occurs to me I am handing over my car and keys, so in the event of an accident? I havent contacted any of the quote providers yet, is there any way of checking them out?

Or better still, any local recommendations?

Thanks

Mark.

A mate of mine used a website where people quote for the job - I'll ask him for a link.

As part of the business I've partnered with a firm in Chichester that are regularly heading up that way that do covered transport for various manufacturers/collectors. Fully insured up to £10 Mil so if anything happens to the car, it's covered insurance wise. Very professional and secure service smile (Recently had them transport an SLS for me and they were utterly faultless)

But as sometimes they're frequently heading up that way, depending on where you're based, they may be able to give you a VERY favourable rate both on the leg up there, and the return leg back as for them it's filling up what would otherwise be empty space on their runs to and from the North thumbup

What type of car is it? I'll PM you the MD's email smile

I used Pro Driver to get my C63 shipped back to the dealer up north. Excellent service both times I used them.

I had my Ultima GTR transported from Milford-on-Sea to Hinckley twice by Joe Coleman at Move my Motor, when I was building it. I was very pleased with the service.
