Not sure will be the same but mine are... with back of toggle looking at you, Black on top, left side Red above Orange, Right side Grey above Blue, Green at the bottom, assume other black is in the middle somewhere. Had mine out to do wood but thanks to Tvrgits page didnt have to disconnect all mine,Hope this helps.

ok im not really having a lot of luck so far with this, i think the previous
owner may have had the same problem as im having as some of the wires look
like they have been moved around ive tried the wires in diffrent positions
and as soon as i move the joystick with the ignition on it just blows the 10amp fuse ?,i know the green is live and the two blacks are earth but what i dont is where there positions should be on the terminals on the back of the joystick, or is it a case of the joystick maybe shorting out ? here is a pic
of the back of the joystick can anyone tell me what wires go where as im about to give up on this nige.

Hi Nige.

Interestingly I've just been working on exactly the same problem. The wiring diagram in the bible is helpful to a point, but it doesn't show which wire from the joystick corresponds to each of the pins. In the end I had to extract the joystick, rig up a remote live and earth from a transformer and then "waggle" the joystick into each of the up/down/left/right positions whilst simultaneously measuring voltage across each of the pins with a multimeter. It was a bit of a faff but after a systematic process of elimination I managed to crack it. The result is the diagram below (created in Paint, so best I could do I'm afraid)! Hopefully it's clear which pin is which. Green is live, your double black will be earth (and will probably disappear off to each mirror as part of the heating element circuit - or so the diagram in the bible suggests). They are wired to the two pins top and bottom on the back of the joystick. Of the other four, there is common to each mirror (on mine this is the blue wire) and three others which (should be) wired into the relay. On mine the red wire is a constant +ve, wired to the 86 pin; the grey is -ve and wired to the 85 pin; and the orange is wired to the 30 pin. If you're not sure what the relay does it essentially switches the command from the joystick between U/D and L/R.

Try this and see if it helps.

Will
