Like all 991s, the front end looks superb.
Not convinced by the side profile of the rear lights though.
Side air intakes also look squashed/flattened in.

Side intakes are still sporting some disguise graphics, and as I personally greatly dislike the 997.1 & .2 exhaust pipes, the 991 is an improvement (not as good as 996's though!).

Looks pretty dull to me compared to the GT3. Then know doubt the rear end will be covered with tacky 'P O R S C H E 911 turbo' chrome badges!
Theres a small bit of new 991 black Cabriolet shown infront of the turbo in one of the pics too.

I love the new Porsche rear badges, about time Porsche was proud enough to show its brand name once again...

I will hold judgement until I have seen one in the flesh, but so far I like what I see .....

I like it too, looks more edgy than I expected. Love the engine slats.

I'm trying to dislike it and find reasons not to upgrade my 2010 Turbo S, but if they do release an S version early, I'm afraid I'll cave in very quickly.

Quote from the Autocar article:

"Autocar understands that the new 911 Turbo will match the output of the most recent 911 Turbo S, with 530bhp and up to 530lb ft of torque. Those reserves will be channelled through a standard six-speed manual or optional seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system with torque vectoring".

Manual gearbox standard on the Turbo? But not even available on the GT3?

Has Autocar got this right? (or has Porsche completely lost the plot)?

The 991 Carrera S looks better imo. I'll have to see it in the flesh first though.

must be sloppy reporting ..

the 991 comes with 7 speed gearbox .. can't believe they will do a whole different manual gearbox for the Turbo

I'm surprised how similar it looks to the 997 Turbo. The spoiler arrangement, and the locations, style and size of the various vents and intakes are all very close to the existing model, and the front end isn't as "unique" as it has been in previous models.

Maybe it'll look more distinct in the metal.

thats exactly what i thought. looks rather 'normal' for a turbo...
