So close to getting my 987 back on the road... help please
Discussion
The snow has stopped, and I want the use of my 987 back. I just need a bit of tech help if anyone can please.
The last job has been to fit the new front coil springs, which is done, but the susppension must be under load when finally tightening the lower control arm bush and I don't know whether the car should have a full, empty or somewhere inbetween fuel level for the correct load. Anybody know?
Any help gratefully accepted. Thanks.

All alignments should be done with the car full of fuel. The last job has been to fit the new front coil springs, which is done, but the susppension must be under load when finally tightening the lower control arm bush and I don't know whether the car should have a full, empty or somewhere inbetween fuel level for the correct load. .... or the equivalent weight in the front boot in your 987's case.

When does car have full fuel ? For about 1 second after fill up.
3/4 full is best imo.
When does a car have 3/4 full tank? For about a second...3/4 full is best imo.
Factory says full tank.
I'd use that.
IIRC the front camber setting is negative (but not by much) so as the fuel load lightens the front camber gets closer to zero.
