Bad Weather S Fix

Well I set to on building the model - must admit have not been finding it easy and had to resort to soldering joints, to get it to join cleanly. All i'll say for anyone doing that, is beware how easily the model may melt! Majorly frustrating experience, but it is getting there - will update as I get nearer to completion. This isn't model building for the fat fingered prone to bursts of temper!

Well done, mine is still in the box, once our conservatory is built later this year I will make use of the good light and give it a go.

It looks great. They are a fiddle to make but that makes the satisfaction of the end result even greater.
I found that before you begin the more minor fettleing you do to improve the fit of the parts the easier the model is to put together. Sorry, not much help to you now

Your most Kind TVR - Stu. I don't know what your experience was like, but I had the biggest problem once running gear and interior was assembed and it was offered up to the body shell. Would it fit? Loads of filing and soldering and I got there in the end, but I think it was the window surround (which sticks to the underside of the bonnet) or the dashboard catching. But the base plate just would not sit flush! Was certainly tricky

Deeman, I think you and I must have approached the assembly slightly differently. From memory (not the best I'll grant you!) I glued the windscreen section to the front of the 'tub' section almost like putting a lid on the top. I don't recall gluing the joint between the assembled chassis/interior and the bodywork at all. Having said that don't ask me how I did join them!!! I think they are screwed aren't they? I don't have a model in front of me unfortunately which is my excuse for being so vague.
