I was looking for www.tvrsseries.com yesterday for a friend and see that the domain is up for grabs or something - anyway the website isn't currently going so wondered what has happened as that was a very useful resource when I had the S. Apologies if this has already been mentioned but I had a quick look and didn't see any ref to a previous discussion.

Chaps and chapesses
Most of Colin's files appear to be lost, unless we can get in touch with him. I had an email address for him, but it's no longer active.
However, I also had the "data sheets" independently, but didn't want to host them "in competition". However, I have now added them to my web site.
I don't have the files he had, with price lists / specifications etc.
There were also a lot of links to "how to" articles on a number of owner sites, and obviously I have the files for my own, but not the others - but they were just links so those could be listed anywhere.
The other invaluable resource was Colin's own "buyers guide", which I propose to rebuild in his words (but possibly having to use other photos where his aren't available) and I'll do that over the next few days.

With the information I now have available, I might need to re-structure my site a bit more, so that the info is easy to find, but the main priority at the moment, is to get that info back on-line, and we'll see where we go from there.

Just wanted to add to the offers of help. I currently run another TVR site (link in my profile) which is almost solely for Cerberas at the moment. I've managed to get half of the files for tvrsseries.com from WayBackMachine. If need be I can add this information to my site.
Or I run a web development company, so I have web servers in abundance, if any of you guys need some free space, let me know.

I've got enough now to recreate most of that, and will be working on it over the next few days (provided that paying clients don't have to take priority!)

Norman, I have two emails - one headed "FAO tvrgit" and the other headed "and the last", sent at 8.37 and 8.54 respectively.I sent three emails, can you confirm which you received as I've have a couple of undeliverable notices
I've also got loads of photos taken while dismantling those poor S's that are no more and these can be a useful resource, happy to share those as well.

The problem with that site is that it had very little original content - mostly, it was links to websites, data sheets, spec sheets etc authored by others. While that makes it an invaluable resource to owners, there are more than "a few" copyright issues. It's quite a different thing for an individual running what is effectively a private web site - if anybody objects to their stuff being on there, it can be taken off right away (I had to do this once with an item on tvrgit.com, somebody got all upset and wanted "compensation" - I just shrugged and deleted their article. End of correspondence. Life is too short for that kind of hassle.)
You can't do that with a printed book - once it's out there, it's out there. Unless you are the original author, there is a real risk that somebody will take the hump. Not because it makes any difference to them. Not because they want anything from you. Not because they want to do anything with the information you've quoted. Just because they can. Some people are b
