Hi there

Got PF08 pads and they are great Barr the noise, car sounds like a train stopping at town speaks with both light and harder braking.

Others found PF08 to be noisy, any tips to quieten things down?

They need some heavy use - track day should quieten them down (for a day or two!)

Tried the standard bedding procedure?

50-30 x10 light pressure
70-30 x10 med pressure
100-50 x10 hard pressure

Nice big gap in between to cool everything down. That's worked for me on every squeaky set of pads I've ever had.

08's are dedicated endurance race pads, and they will never run silent on the road, you might have to change to PF 01 - z rated for road use and keep the 08's for track days

Am disappointed to read this because PF told me the 08 would be an improvement on the 06 in this respect. My PF06s are going to have to come off because they're so bad they're intolerable on the road - which is a real shame coz they're great on track!

Had the same problem with Pagid yellows on my 993. Awful on the road. 1 quick lap on the track and they've been fine since.

I use PF 01's in my track Evo and they are just the same. As already said, a good bit of hard use will quieten them for a while.

I also find Mintex Ceratec paste very effective when applied to the shims.
