I had planned to change cars this year but with the amount of travelling I've been doing with work can't justify the change. So I've decided to refresh the excisiting car for the summer and to tide me over another year.

Wheel refurb - I've previoulsy heard PPS in Inverurie are the best around. However they don't have the facilities to take the tyres on/off. I don't have another set of wheels to put on while they are working on them, what would people recommend is a solution here? Would a tyre place store the car for me while the wheels are with PPS?

Tints - I've light tints which are begining to peel on the corners. Anyone have any recommendations on a tinter in the area?

Detailing - Black car and plenty of swirl marks, not to mention a light mark where the winds brough a tree down and a brach rubbed the car! Any recommendations on a good detailer in the area?

Thanks!

Motowerks in Forrest Avenue Lane are first class with the tints. They also do wheel refurbs and can remove and replace tyres. They send them off, and usually takes around a week. I have had several cars done there and always been very happy with the work.

Good suggestions, also may I suggest the wheel specialist in Dyce, they're not the cheapest but I think they do a drive in-out service.
As for detailing, lots of choices, personally I'd shy away from the 'expensive' places though. Where are you based?

Just had our 17" DC5 alloys refurbed by them.

They do a same day drive in, drive out service. It was £300 for doing the whole wheels including tyre removal/putting back on, plus new valves and alloy valve caps. It was another £50 for the Championship White paint, but their standard paints would be included in the £300.

Wheels are like brand new.

So much less hassle than removing them yourself, then waiting days to get them back.

Top tip - their on-line auto quote system gave me a price, but I just left it a few days and did nothing. Got a call from them knocking £50 off the auto quote price, which persuaded me to get them done.

As said above, Scott at Motorwerks will sort the tints out and can also get your wheels refurb'd.

Another Vote here for Motorwerks for Tints and Wheels. Scott did the tints on my S4 and i have never had a problem.

As for detailing, i would give AJ Auto Detailing a go. Well worth it and always an excellent job, He got rid of all the swirls and brought my last car back to life, very easy to look after once it was done. He has a facebook page with his recent work.

I've used ALL the companies mentioned in this thread and this would be my recommendation based on my past experience's.

Wheel Refurb- Autowerks very good, also TWS in Dyce are excellent.

Tints- Autowerks again.

Detailing- In Aberdeen I can only recommend AJ Auto Detailing
