"Requires xxx - easy fix" - then fix it before selling it
"Good condition for year" - the mere fact that it hasn't been turned into razor blades 20 years ago means that, statistically, its in good condition for year
"Super-car performance for Mondeo money" - for the price of a very good, reliable, well put together modern car, you could put yourself through the pain of some worn-out, ragged to death bag of spanners like this

"Ultra rare - only xx ever made" - everyone realised that they were pants even when new, let alone 30 years down the line
"Maintained by well-known marque specialist" - well known marque specialist changed the oil in 1997
"POA" - I'm keeping my powder dry until I've looked you in the eye and formed a view for how much I can screw out of you
There's one in the current issue of "Classic Cars" I have never seen before, by a trader for a white Ferrari GTB275:
"was described by the previous owner as "perfect in every mechanical and cosmetic detail""
Well he would have said that, he was trying to sell it! I want to know what it's like now!
Oliver.

'Folder full of paperwork' - a few old MOT certificates, some invoices for wiper blades and tyres about 8 years ago, half a dozen tax disc reminders, an insurance certificate from 1995, an invoice for a full engine rebuild on a completely different vehicle, and an instruction leaflet for a Harry Moss radio-cassette.
First to see will buy. Undoes it for me!
A little Gem. Cramped and crap
A Winner. In a one horse race just possibly.
Outstanding. Most of the inside has fallen outside.
Never raced and rallied. But ruined by neglect.
And so on. Yet these cars do sell which reminds me that all buyers should remember: there is one born every minute! Do not become that one!

I'm sure I advertised a mini 998 with the words :
Amateur restoration, paintwork all one colour although clearly not done by a professional, 13 months MOT, not particularly tidy, has had many new parts due to basic design faults by Alec Issigonis, including the following in the last 12 months.
Tyres, pads, discs, brake fluid, ball joints, wheel bearings, knuckle joints, head gasket, coil, fuel filter, plugs, oil and air filters, various assorted electrics, condenser, points, dizzy cap.
Selling as a reward to my son for getting into university. Would suit someone with rose tinted specs, in fact if you pay the asking price, which is exactly what I paid for it 12 months ago, I'll throw my pair in free.
Had people queuing to buy it, and despite the fact that it started running on 3 cylinders just 5 mins before the 1st viewer, he bought it and took it away on a trailer. 6 months later I noticed it back for sale.

I bet it was for sale at a reasonable price though. Even the most appalling tat seems to attract a price of a grand or so now.Amateur restoration, paintwork all one colour although clearly not done by a professional, 13 months MOT, not particularly tidy, has had many new parts due to basic design faults by Alec Issigonis, including the following in the last 12 months.
