I'll probably be there, but not driving as (a) the car has no engine at the moment and (b) it's a rip off. The track time is way expensive and they let too many on the track at once. There's a lot of lunatics out there, so be careful and stay aware of who is around you. Last year, despite the "no overtaking in corners" rule, I was overtaken going into Quarry. By someone going backwards

We should swap mobile numbers and have a bit of a meet up.

Also, I live 5 minutes from the circuit so if anyone needs emergency repairs etc. feel free to bring the car over and use my tools etc.

owing to the fact that the 998 is still in there its really quite dangerous to go on the track although ill probably do some parade laps the rest of time will be spent spending my student loan on important parts of engine

That's a nice looking car you have there, Charlie. You shouldn't worry about only having the 998 - I did a track day at Combe a couple of years ago with my 998 and my brother's tuned 998 (12G295 head, Stage 1). He was embarassing some much bigger equipment - like 200SX, Porsche 944 etc.

It's all about the corners!

Dont worry

Prices for advance ticket purchases:
£40 Super Pass (incls two adults, one five-lap session, this ticket not available on the day) Admission only: £8 adults (increased by £2 on the day) Accompanied children 16 and under get in free Five-lap track pass: £20 (increased by £5 on the day) Parade three-laps £8 (increased by £2 on the day) OAP £4 (£5 on the day)

You dont really get allot of track action, Is it worth it or can you buy more than one 5 lap track pass?

In the past you could buy more than 1, but it's pretty expensive for a good session. A good laugh, but there some crazy people out there. I went into the chicane as saw a woman in a Cooper facing me last time!

Nice though, as there's only minis out there.

Ive wanted to track my mini for soooo long now but I do get the impression there is more people and cars there than sense!
Would be nice to see how it handled compared to other mini's though

oh its an absolute hoot! i try and go every year because watching the minis do what they do best is brilliant, 3 abreast barreling down the straights.
and it seems that nearly every one gets the first corner wrong, which is fun....

I was going to go but not sure now as I’m out in the evening, won’t be in the mini as the engine broke at Goodwood. So if you see a green Griff with a PH sticker in the windscreen that’ll be me
