Next I used single pack high build epoxy....4 coats of alternate colour red/grey, 2 coats of machine enamel and a final polyurethane laquer to finish.
4 years on and it still looks as good as new.
All a bit overkill i know but
You only want to have to do this once, so do it thoroughly whatever you decide.
Painting the chassis makes it easier to touch up any damage through stone chips etc.

I'd certainly go for paint rather than powder coat. With all the changes you've made and despite the care, dry runs and mock ups I think it's almost inevitable that "something" will need a little bit of "modification" when it finally hits the road and a painted finish will be easier to touch.

Was thinking the same, a painted finish will be easier to touch up, nothing worse that to find I've forgot to weld a bracket on, with a paint it an easy repair.
I was told if you waxoil and have it powder coated all the waxoil runs to the lowest point when they bake it at 300 deg??
