Was following an Audi late at night at about 140mph indicated, came to an S bend sequence and couldn't resist overtaking him at 155mph (actual) flat out in top round the outside of the bend. I then slowed to 100 and soon saw blue flashing lights and sh*t myself. It was my lucky day though because the copper drove a Subaru Impreza and I had an Impreza WRX Type RA, he said "nice car" & asked loads of questions about it, said he had got me at 137 but since it was a virtually empty stretch he would call it 90 and give me 3 points. Top bloke!
Hi John, I am well aware that Plod can be nice. I`ve been caught doing about 120 in my little MR2 after being followed for about a mile on a Dual Carriageway, and the guy just told me if I wanted to keep my licence I ought not to drive that way ( I listened to him ! )
I`ve also been 'gunned' at 37 in a 30, and again, shown the reading and told to keep the speed down.
Jason - Nil points on me license !!

quote:And how would you know that he did an 'actual' 155 if the copper "got him" at 137? Still it makes fun reading - keep up the good work Ted
HORSE...BULL...at 155mph (actual) flat out in top round the outside of the bend. BLAH....BLAH....said he had got me at 137 but since it was a virtually empty stretch he would call it 90 and give me 3 points. Top bloke!
Have to say, sounds like a scoolboy, most Scooby owners call them errrr scoobies, not Subaru Impreza WRX type RA, straight out of Autocar.
but, a chum of mine has a jap import wrx sti4, and when I had a blast in it, I got up to an indicated 150mph in no time at all, and it still had some more to give....I was most impressed (all on a private test road m'lud) shame they look like a robbers dog and have steering made of bertie bassetts finest!
