As title says I'm now an official holder of the pink license, having no idea what to expect I was a little confused when the office door opened and an examiner walked out with a blowup zimmer frame, turns out he was retiring that day. Of course my luck meant I had this examiner, as you can imagine not an ideal start when you're on edge I got 7 minors but 2 of them were for being courteous and thanking drivers who had given way. Now to go car shopping

Congrats! My 20th anniversary this year. So glad i don't have the newbie's insurance woes but welcome to the road. Guard that pink freedom pass with your life and remember, passing a test doesn't mean you can drive...the real learning has just started [/dadmode]

Well done, as previously said "now you start to learn to drive!" When I was your age I never thought in a million years I'd ever drive anything red! Give it time then live your dream, John.

Cheers guys smile yes I've already been given the "now you learn to drive" talk and it's been duly noted but I have to admit I'm hugely looking forward to driving on my own! No ideas as of yet as to which car I'll be getting but something cheap and low insurance is on the cards, even though the insurance itself won't be cheap. I'll keep you all posted and John reds my favourite colour mate!
