Had one fitted to my RS when it was trabsported to Yorkshire from London I never got a call, having rang a week later they gave me some garbled excuse .... not going back to them ... so can anyone recommend a good company please.

I use Trafficmaster... no complaints, but also no incidents either!

which company was that though ?

My advice would be to

1. get one that has several tracking tech's rather than just GPS which can be jammed by a schoolboy.

2. either get a cat 5 system with driver fobs or a system that allows you to set a fence around the car giving alerts if the car goes into or out of that area.

If you don't have either of them, then if the car is stolen with the keys (as many cars are these days) and you don't know about it (e.g. you are away for a few days or on hols) then no one will know and it will be in some dock somewhere in eastern europe before you know its gone.

I had a good experience with Tracker who recovered my car for me within a few hours of it being stolen a few years back.

Rubbish customer service but very efficient when I actually needed it.
