Well I finally picked up my first GT3 today, and bloody hell, I love it. Comfort spec, with Clubsport seats and 30k on the clock.
The steering, the throttle response, and the smoothness of that revving engine is sublime.
It taken ages to prise the keys out of the owners hand, but the arrival ( just as i was leaving ) of the 997 GT3, helped with the pain, of seeing his 996 GT3, leave his ownership after 7 years. The car has been beautifully looked after by him and GT-One, and has just received a 24k service along with rear Bilstein rebuild and fresh geo.

Always love hearing about good choices! Congrats - they're bloody epic cars; I'm on my second one and it's a corker. I can't wait until the weather warms up as a a Euro-trip is in order very soon!

Congrats rallyeman! You have succeeded where I have so far failed!

What are your first impressions and comparisons with the 993? Although your 993 was a tip?

Lovely. Mind you, I like the look of the 997 too, the identical twin of my old car - not on a plate ending VK is it by any chance?!

Just wish I could get away with two seats, there's nothing like the sound of a flat six wrung out to 8000rpm biggrin

I recognise that car from when I was at GTOne back in the summer. From memory the owner had spent a fair amount of time and effort upgrading a number of parts. I am sure you are going to enjoy it, just need some better weather now (and the council to sort out some of the pot holes around my way!)

Is the one, lots of history, from GT-One. The previous owner made sure everything present and correct, a very pampered example. I'm looking forward to my first Sprint event next Sunday. My first event in 10 years.

Nice one geez .. welcome to the fold !

I'm sure you will love it. Very very different to the 993 though as you say, and needs a bigger playground to stretch ites legs.

Really loving mine, any excuse to go out in it and can't freakin well wait to punt it round italy/spain in June.

Loving the single mass clutch and lightened flywheel chatter, reminds me of the 993 noise
