Goodwood breakfast club - anyone been?
Discussion
I am considering signing up for one of these events, maybe the next one on April 7th. Will be driving from London with my 997 C4S.
Has anyone been to these? What are they like? I understand that its not just the "usual" park and stare at some cars? On the website it says something about driving too, but what kind of driving is it and how is it organised?
Thanks for any heads up.
Its precisely a drive there, park and look at cars type event.
It's also a great event with some of the best metal you'll see anywhere, great atmosphere and its of course completely free.
If you have a car that fits the "theme" of the day you'll get onto the circuit or at least the paddock, get there early and you should be able to park next to the circuit itself regardless.

I went to a soft top Sunday at the back end of last year. It was a great morning, met up with some other guys on the way there for a bit of a drive, coffee and the usual overpriced bacon butties to get you going. There was some really good stuff there and the place was full of petrolheads.A good place to view from was the track where cars are coming in and being directed to park. I hung around for a couple of hours and took the long way home. I'm going to the Supercar Sunday event as they are also celebrating 50 years of the 911.Worth a trip out on its own, but why does anyone need an excuse to drive their Porsche.
Thanks for the replies. So the "adrenalin fuelled Sunday drive" I guess is independent of the actual event then.
Sounds like a nice enough event. As you say, good enough an excuse for driving my car to a nice location to meet up with petrolheads. Might give the jap car event a miss and go for the soft tops one in May, especially if I get round to buying a soft top for summer (ha!) as I have been meaning to.

Exactly , that bit is down to you ! Once there, park up and admire the metal along with everyone else and wait for Dick Turpin to arrive when you want something to eat !RiccardoG said:

Thought it slightly odd you'd been a PH member since 01 and not heard of GW breakfast club, does your day job require you to wear a hat bearing a black & white chequered band at all Has anyone been to these?
