So whats happening at Noble at the moment?

I am a huge fan of the M600 and am curious to know how its going with this car?

I see they were at Geneva, so it looks like the business is out there getting new orders.

I know that they only intend to make a handful of cars each year, but it would be good to know of developments.

Any news of the rumoured convertible?

And how about a development of the existing M600? Maybe an even more hardcore, GT3 style M700 would be a good idea? I'm sure there is plenty of potential left in the engine.

Any news or insight very welcome. Noble don't seem to chase the limelight but, nevertheless, it would be good to know how the factory is doing these days.

Well thats a nice idea but I don't know how they would respond to some random bloke rocking up asking questions ! Currently a little short of the £220K or so needed for an M600 as well...

Its been what, 4 years since the business was rebooted with the M600? I guess 18 months or so of actually supplying cars to customers? I hope they are continuing to develop the concept..

I had a good poke around the orange M600 as I was a driver at Chris Evan's carfest thing last summer and the M600 was there. Very impressed with it.

Not a particularly useful reply to an innocent request You will surely know that the factory will tell him nothing so we here are the most useful repository of information

Spoke to Peter at Autosport , everything going well , car has passed EU approval with the addition of running lights and a change to the wiper sweep so proud tigon is back on track , Oder books are looking healthy and Geneva show last week resulted in 19 test drives booked after only 2 days of the show . The carbon sport is the latest addition to the range .
They factory have also pledged to support a Noble track day this year if I can find one suitable .

The registration numbers still suggest it's more in development than full flow sales, but I'm sure they'll get there as Dyson is hardly in this for the money nor actually raw sales numbers (ergo the comment above about going for type approval).

I was out at the motorshow in Geneva and was less than impressed with both Nobles exhibition stand and quality of customer service.
I'm surprised they got any enquiries as the older grey haired gent (peter i assume) looked bored as hell and refused to engage with anyone in conversation, i had a brief chat with the other sales / pr lady but all over the glass barrier around the stand. They simply didn't want anyone on their stand. Now compared to other competitors stands who where keen to welcome individuals on and discuss requirements etc it was a poor show on Nobles front.

Thats a shame about the Geneva show, down at the Autosport show in Birmingham in January Peter was happy enough to chat away and asked about my car, also invited me onto the stand to have a sit in the car and a closer look.

Hi mick I find it hard to believe Peter etc weren't very talkative as they have always been great with me and gone out off there way to come n have a chat n share a coffee etc and before you ask no I ain't ordered a M600

Sounds most unlike Peter , I've always found him to be chatty and interesting to talk too , and very into cars ect , maybe he was just tired and taking 5 .

What I cant work out is how on earth Noble can make any money making 12 cars a year at £200k each + VAT. I can't see Peter being a cheap MD to employ and the expence of taking cars around Europe etc promoting must be astronomical on top of the factory and material costs. They must have a long term plan but unbless they can turn out 20+ cars a year minimum the sums don't add up.

Maybe they where just fed up with show going public looking for a seat and pics.... But based on the fact they want and need European and worldwide sales to survive, it seemed like a lack lustre approach to push and promote the brand and product.
I work in the marketing industry and it was certainly the worst bit of international PR they could have done.

You have completely missed the point, they don't need to sell cars at all, Their servival is based on the mood of the owner!

I know what my mood would be like if a company I was playing with wasnt making any return!! Mr Dyson maybe wealthy but he's not stupid, unless Noble can turn a profit, in whatever timescale they have set, he would have to pull the plug or sell on. Obviously I hope this never happens, its a difficult market to break into and a quarter of a million £'s is a lot of cash for a car during a world recession.
