996tt. The last service was a minor, the one before that a major (but it wasn't my car then). I have only done 2000 miles in the last year. Should I get a minor service with a major next year, or a major service this year for piece of mind?? I do intend to drive it more this year.

Your thoughts

A major is usually carried out every 4 years so on that basis I would go for a minor.

To clarify it's a 2000 996tt. It is a service each year pre-facelift.

In that case I would look at the miles since the last major and decide if it needs another one yet. For example, plugs, belts, etc are all part of a major service but are generally good for at least 20-30k miles.

Call someone like Steve at Jaz Wembley or your local trusted Indie. They'll know and someone like Steve won't try to trade you up to a major in my experience
