Adam,
OK in that case be a little more gentle than normal but I wouldn't worry too much after the first service though.
Don't tell me its all sorted??
From the know-how of a top BMW technician not me - for a couple of hundred miles avoid the limiter and full throttle acceleration, but do access higher rpm occasionally. After that, give it some wellington. The engines will be down on power later if you don't wring their necks from an early age. Same story holds from a 325i compact to an M3. Having driven a 'one lady owner from new' car I can confirm that the engines can remain very tight and under-book on power if you're too gentle with them. Incidentally that M3 engine will be run-in after about 100,000 miles, hope you won't wait that long to enjoy it.
