Hi! To my dissapointment I return to my car to find that the NS mirror is hanging off, to compliment this the door is also badly damaged.

No idea how someone managed to do this but now I need to get things fixed.

I have autodim mirrors - does anyone know if i can fit a standard mechanism and add my autodim mirror or do I need to buy the autodim version?

Also did the 997 turbo had autodim as standard?

ps - I am trying to source 2nd hand parts...i can buy new from OPC but surely they will look 'to new' on my 05 S!

Many Thanks
Duncan

Theres a Porsche breakers yard in Leeds on the outskirts of the city centre if you're anywhere nearby - might be worth giving them a ring.

I once bobbed in enquiring about clear lights for my 996 and they said if they had any in they'd do them for like 150 quid for the pair!

Bugger never rang me back though and by then I'd become more fond of my fried eggs

Sorry to hear about this, but if your door is also damaged, isn't that going to be an insurance job?

And yes, autodim was standard on the Turbo.

I don't think so. I would happily buy parts there. I wouldn't use HWM though.

From what I've read on hear they don't have the best rep biglaugh.... Probably OK for a simple door mirror though.

Really infuriates me that someone could do that and then drive off, utter A holes, was it parked on the street or car park?

Further to Mr Pings earlier post, the Porsche breaker in Leeds is Prestige Salvage on Water Lane.
