Big Gamble?

Currently have an RX8 and I now want out! Great car when it works but bored of it now.. What do we think to this though -

Completely unreliable money pit or a fantastic first time porsche for a 20 YO? This one sounds like it has been well looked after but those are some serious miles its got under its belt!

Looking at spending no more than £2000 on one so by all means if you know of a good one within budget i'd love to see!

Any stories when it comes to be reliability, MPG, running costs etc.. Anything over 12-20mpg is a bonus in comparison to what I am currently dealing with!

This bit would have me running a mile. SH up to 176,000, what's it got for the last 50 thousand miles? If its due a belt then you are looking at around £1k for that. Also it states interior needs attention, decent interior trim is getting expensive.

Having said that at that price if you fancy tooling around for a year or until it breaks then you could probably re-coup most of your outlay selling it onto one of the second hand parts people.

You'd be mad. Most dealers (apart from those venerable ones that frequent these parts) describe old dogs as immaculate, so when you have got words like restoration, project, needs attention, no warranty...run and don't look back.

What are you looking for in a 944 over your RX8?
