As an unfortunate pedestrian, I now have need of rental cars from time to time.

I’m bored of always using the big chain companies. Anyone got any suggestions/recommendations for indies and/or places with more interesting cars to rent?

I can’t afford things like the supercar clubs, but would consider dropping a few extra quid to get a fun car over the usual economy box.

They seem to only do wedding hires, but thanks for the suggestion.

I need something with back sets just now, but thanks anyway Ollie. That’d be a great idea otherwise.

I used to live right by AMK. Friendly wee company, but they don’t have anything interesting for hire—just the usual hatchbacks, saloons and vans. (They have one wee convertible but it’s pretty horrible!)

Still … I hadn’t thought of trying dealerships. Could be similar offers elsewhere.

Funnily enough, it’s exactly those lines Andrew’s post set me thinking along …
