Bought both cover cars from their brochure in one of their previous auctions, the series one E Type was nice but had some shocking mistakes hidden beneath the surface, which would have cost the average person a fortune to rectify, just a word of caution. I like Brightwells a lot, but this is still a classic car auction, with all the risks attached.

£7-9k

Is this for real and am I completely out of touch??

Love the description "it is just the job for Prescott and Goodwood outings this summer", I'm sure you'd be welcomed with opened arms. nono

I think the E9 went for a fair price:

the 190SL and Elan looked good buys but I'm just going from photos. The bikes looked good prices particularly the triumph speed twin.

The Jaguar MK V11M was a good deal - chalk that down to another one missed then I guess.

26k for a Delorean. Have you ever seen/examined/driven one? Unbelievable.
And did you see the price of that 1998 Disco? Sheesh.

Good looking basis for an historic rally car - wouldn't find a Mk1 Escort in that condition for that price....!!
