Its British Superbike Grand National weekend coming up (www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/ and click the link in the bottom left corner) and i'm planning on going on the Sunday - could be an opportunity for a few PH bikers to meet up for a rancid burger?

Be careful though - Wiltshire Police can smell money and as such will be out in force; www.safetycameras-wiltshire-swindon.co.uk/complete/pub.asp?newsid=69

Also of note, is that the BiB will undoubtedly have a few unmarked cars touring the surrounding roads - as well as eyeing every car you see with suspicion, look out for these:

Silver Octavia RS
Black Octavia RS, reg RS03 *** (usually seen in Salisbury, but you never know)
Navy blue Honda Accord 2.2 VTEC - HY52 *** (seen as Castle Combe a couple of months ago)

Wiltshire Police have recently acquired a fully Scamera'd up Honda Pan European. Its fully marked, and can only be used as a Scamera when stationary and set up, but it'll still have VASCAR etc on it, and theyre keen on hiding it behind things like overpass supports etc.

Maybe see a few of you there?

Dave

I'll be there! BTW, the Wiltshire bike isn't a Pan Euro, it's a Deauville.

Nice one! I look forward to seeing you there mate. Are you using any roads near me to get there? Ill be going through Warminster etc - youre welcome to convoy over with me if you like. Ill be keeping the speed right down once we get anywhere near Chippenham though

Im planning on taking a tailpack full of camera gear to get some good shots - should be a good day, provided the weather isn't too bad

They've changed the track lay out and inserted a Bus stop type lay out on the way into camp, they did some tests recently on a standard GSXR 600 and were approaching Camp corner at around 140mph, they worked out that the Superbikes would be approaching nearer 160-170mph and have had the track altered for only the 2nd time in its history, the 1st being the addition of the Esses's and Bobbies to slow the track down a little and to give improved safety....

Should be a grand day out, i miss it due to the Caterham Slalom day, gutted, but pleased !!

No chance of a convoy - I live on the A420 just outside Bristol. It's one road and no more than 10 miles to Castle Combe from my place. Happy to meet up there though. Got your exhaust fixed?

What a crock of sh*t

We’re out to catch the motorcyclists,’ said Sgt Blencowe. ‘But we are targeting speeders and want all thier money.’

How blatant is that?! They even list that its for the Superbike event - good advertising for Castle Combe I guess
