What, no answers from anybody?

I've never been. Did not know it existed but I'll nip along for a look.

Might be good.

I went last year, probably will again. It was quite a small event, but interesting enough. I wouldn't drive for hours to get there, but it's a nice way to pass half a day. My (then) 5-yr old got bored fairly quickly until we came to the tool selling stands.

Haven't seen anything about the show before. Website is a bit vague about what is going to be on show...

Another thing that folk might find interesting: It's the final round of the Rallycross at Knockhill this Saturday, only £8 entry. The last round in May was great fun (until the dust clouds stopped play). The wonderful weather we've been having will have damped down the rallycross circuit no end so we should have quite a fun day's racing. The 600bhp+ rallycross Class A cars are something else to watch!

Is it the same rallycross that was on in May? I enjoyed that but was under the impression that this is a different event coming up?

You're right. I'd assumed that it was the full British Rallycross series but it's not. They are running a round of the BTRDA rallycross championship. Found the entry list:

www.rallycrossuk.com/Reports/Knockhill/BTRDA%20Knockhill.html

It's not awe inspiring. Could explain why it's on a Saturday rather than a Sunday.

Just a note on this - the Porsche Club (amongst others) have a few members giving passenger rides for charity round the circuit. Will cost £10 for 2 laps. There will be a variety of cars there including a GT3 RS, GT3 few 911s etc.. I believe there will also be a few TVRs.

Proceeds go to Edinburgh Sick Children's Hospital.

I've been a passenger in the GT3RS at full tilt and it's an experience worth the £10.
