Hi

I just bought a wind deflector for a 996 on ebay and for the life of me I cannot get it to fold down. Is there some trick that I am missing?

Thanks

Just pull it down - hard. Or do you want to fold it for stowing?

I just want to fold it down and then also fold it up. I cannot get it to fold down. It is stuck in the upright position. Is there some little release somewhere that I have not noticed?

Thanks

You have to fold up before you can fold out!

Close wings at sides and then open out in other plane so red bolts are at each end and then you can open it up.

Clear as mud?

Not sure I follow. It is the actual deflecting bit that I cannot get to fold down i.e., if it was still in the the car and I wanted to flatten it down to see through the rear window how would I get it to go down? Below is a pic of it all up and open. I just cannot get the deflecting bit to fold down.

Sorry I thought you had got stuck at earlier stage.
Easiest thing is to drop the roof on the car and put it in erected then just push hard to fold flat.
No clips just pull up - and push down.

Edited to add: unless there is something wrong with it....

Perhaps there is as it does not want to fold down and I am worried that I will break it if I force it. It did arrive folded up though so there must be some way of doing it. I'll just have to keep playing with it. Thanks for your time.

Wind deflectors? Naff, in my opinion. Spoils the look of the car.
