Aftermarket sounds for Cayman.
Discussion
I have had a search and cannot find anything.Sorry if I am repeating previous threads.
I am collecting an 07 Cayman tomorrow. It has a OE Sat Nav fitted and CD stacker. Not something I was precious about having but it was there.I don't know anything about the equipment.I really need to be able to play my Iphone through the system,at least.Ideally would like telephone connectivity as well. After searching on the web/here there doesn't seem to be a simple auxillary input for sounds. It seems I have three options; 1/ Bury/Parrott bluetooth though didn't like the system fitted in another car I drove as it was difficult to navigate from the screen of the kit fitted.
2/Denison type system
3/Something along the lines of Pioneer SPH-DA100 AppRadio ?
Thanks for any info'.

Are you happy with the sound from the current unit when playing CDs? If so, something like the Mobridge/Dension is a good add on. Whilst it seems quite expensive it is much cheaper than going down the route of buying and fitting a new unit/speakers, it will only take a short time to fit and will preserve the original look of the interior.
Buying a new head unit will get you better sound, much easier operation and more modern sat nav as well as access to oher features that are not included with the PCM. Only you can really decide if that is worth the extra cost to you.

Sounds are all alright for me so Mobridge etc could do.At the mo can prob' get the Pioneer system for around £275 incl fitting so a little cheaper than Mobridge etc.I would keep the OE Sat Nav and refit if required when I come to sell in the future.Didn't know if there was a simpler alternative if just connecting for sound rather than phone as well.

No harm in doing it if you can get it fitted for that price!Worth checking that the fitter knows that it is going into a Porsche as the MOST system is supposed to be a bit of a nightmare to integrate 3rd party kit into.
After researching this.MOST is a little bit of a nightmare so Pioneer would not be a good idea.Especially as there is not a fascia plate.Denison seems a good idea though my local Audio people said they stopped selling them due to problems. If you have one fitted any experiences/comments would be very much appreciated.Don't really want to go down the route of a little display stuck on my A pillar etc for an Alpine/Bury system. Thanks again.
Fitted a Dension Gateway 500 into my E61 BMW. Uses the MOST bus (emulates the CD changer) and it works fine. Took me a couple of hours to fit.
Can't see why it'd be any harder to fit into a Porsche - same hardware, just different switch settings, IIRC.
If you can access the MOST (fibre) connector that goes into the back of the head unit or the CDC (either end will work), it's a simple DIY job.

Cheers.Thinking about fitting it myself
Need to look into it to make sure I can.Not got a CDC but I have found the amp.So probably need to look at youtube or something to find where the CDC would plug into the head unit.Mine has the SAT NAV etc so don't know if this will make a difference.
