Has anyone bought from Parkway Birmingham? obviously I don't want to disparage any dealer's reputation, i'm just simply curious for opinion.

I've found this C2S Cab with virtually no mileage on it for a great price, however after trawling the used car market for about 4 months this seems like a great deal.

Don't know the dealer, although it does look a bit back street.

From the pics I would say that the paint doesn't look great in some of the shots and the combination of what looks like an ill fitting front PU plus a replaced number plate warrants investigation.

What on earth is the car? They says it's a wide body 2S, paddle shifters (nope). That and the V Car bit would put me off. I'd prefer an earlier straight car and decent warranty. Maybe I'm a bit risk averse.

+1
I would not go near the one you linked. Don't forget V car usually means about a 20% reduction in price should be reflected. And even then many stay clear.

The car is on V Car (could be cat C/D or stolen recovered) hence the price, i think pretty much all the cars Parkway sell are like this, not necessarily a bad thing so long as the price is adjusted accorindgly and it passes all inspections etc

If it's Cat D then aren't they legally bound to say in the advert?

They're not legally bound to state it in the advert, but they can't state that it's HPi clear, although they must tell a customer about the Cat C/D or stolen/recovered status before a transaction takes place or is agreed upon.

However, they have stated in the advert that it's on VCAR, which is the Vehicle Condition Alert Register. meaning they are declaring from the outset that there's an issue with the car of which a potential purchaser should be aware.

I don't know the garage by the way, this is just general advice and observation. smile

Ahh right! I thought that the VCar site was just another used car place like Auto trader!

Anyway, I have called them. They say that all of the cars on their website (All 12 pages) have been sold and that they haven't got any stock at all?

All in all a very weird experience.

I'll keep looking, no point rushing into anything silly.

Hmmmm, have they actually got premises? Their street address is all residential if memory serves.

Well, I've been tonight, although to look at Nissan Bluebird for my son for a charity rally! They appear to have loads of cars.
