Stunning bit of kit, a great drive and real presence on the road

Get it bought and enjoy some real class motoring, don't worry about the "wrong" engine, it's keeping a proper classic on the road ( not that I'm biased or anything )

I agree, I see that motor as a bonus, however, I do think the value of the car is affected, I'd have thought is worth somewhere in the high teens?

A few years ago this car would have been broken (see any 50s Lagonda, scrapped to keep a 2/4 on the track...) so its nice to see one able to be used. I remember a dbs with a 4.2 lump for sale on he early 90, and there is a few with the v12 jag engine in use, so I guess I approve..

I agree. It looks great, and I'm sure the car is significantly improved by the new engine. It looks like a very usable classic. However, the loss of originality will, I think, significantly diminish its value. Shame really. I can't see it selling for anywhere near the asking price.

I believe the owner os a local well established car dealer (main dealer) and serious petrol head. He has a fine collection of lovely cars and keeps them all beautifully. If it is his ( Iseriously think it is) then it will be lovely, though I've only seen the car from a distance as it passes.
