Mesh grills 996 Turbo

Can anyone recommend a suitable supplier of mesh grills for my 996 turbo 2002?

Yes, would definitely have to be in black if you went with those ones.

I personally prefer the looks when it's installed behind the original grills
i.e.

The Zunsport ones = bumper on fitment.

Others = bumper off (and maybe the odd cable tie in view) fitment.

Just fitted these to my GT2, very well made with no hassles fitting them, take you about 2-3hrs as a DIY including taking the front wheels off to remove the wheel arch liners.

Did an awesome job.

They did mine as well - A great method of doing it on the Turbo, very effective and very inexpensive - really, really good people.

The problem I have with the Zunsport ones is that regardless of colour, they are being fitted to the actually bumper, which is why we refuse to fit them and taking the bumper off should be part of the process - see last point below.

If anyone wants to try themselves, all we do is buy the black mesh from Halfords, £25 per pack and you need 2 packs, remove the bumper, and then create your own by attaching them to the housings behind, cutting the mesh and shaping.

It does take a little care to get them looking correct and we set them back out of sight as such, and you need to use black cable ties to attach.

It takes us, and we do a lot of these 2.5-3 hours in total to make a perfect job.

Don't forget that it is pointless if your rads/conds need replacing as well - this ideally should be sorted at the same time. Regardless of any replacements, make sure you clean up the entire area (air line works well) and put a fresh protective coat on them (rads/conds).

9E did a great job on mine and I like the subtle finish. Apart from protecting the rads I like the fact I no longer have to vacuum the leaves out every weekend.

Sorry, but to me those Zunsport ones look awful! Esay option but spoil the front end completely!!

That's what I was thinking, maybe it's because they are silver but they're hideous creations, one for the Blue Peter rejects bin I think.
The ones in the second picture are much more acceptable.

So, are you attaching them to the plastic radiator ducting Ken, rather that the bumper?
