It's beyond me how people can have a car like that for so many years and do so few miles in it, what a waste. A nice car for someone but a large premium paid for the low mileage, the lack of use will probably continue now for fear of losing value by adding miles!!

I agree, but I will be surprised to see this for sale in 2 years with 45000 miles on it. Hopefully the new owner might be on here and keep us up to date!!

I bet he's from Japan. There's a collector out there who buys only very low mileage Targas.

i guess there was a thread on this car.

Not surprised at all this went. Pound is super weak and these cars will gradually disappear from the classifieds.

£47,000 for what is a virtually new 993 sounds fairly reasonable really.
Obviously there may well be age related issues to think about such as rubbers, electrics etc.

It's probably been bought to be a garage queen or for a collection as the minute the miles start going up, it's value will go the opposite way!

Yikes, I only paid 9K for mine with 28,000 miles on the clock back in 2007. One previous owner. Use it as a DD, maybe should have put it in the garage? No, I love it, still makes me smile very morning and night. Opps, there goes the hooter, better clock out and roar off home.

£9k? A wind up surely?

Nope, not a wind up, bought it in KSA from the local OPC, FSH, one previous owner, who hardly used it. He'd traded it in for a Turbo. With the pound:SR exchange rate it worked out at a touch over nine grand. Did not realise it was such a bargain at the time. Spent a bit on suspension replacement and rubber bits and bobs, all to be expected at these temps, also had to replace whole roof opening mechanism as it gets used several times very day. As I said still using it as a DD, starts first time but only 14mpg, good job I dont pay for fuel.
