One has to wonder who researches and writes this crap..and why they hell they are allowed to get away with it.

Btw, I have seen the Longchamps in the sale and it is the best one I have ever seen...but very much an acquired taste...

I agree about the ad, total bull, but I'm interested in the center tunnel, clearly an early up to 85 dash so whats going on with a 964 type tunnel?

It's an 85 3.2 964 lookalike ( I owner if the spoiler works automatically?) but isn't that also a 964 engine in there? If it is I owner how it works with the 915 gearbox.

RS door cards with speakers in look odd don't they?

It's a 3.2 engine, I can't see any wiring to the spoiler so I assume it doesn't work, & yes the speakers in the door are just plain wrong biggrin

It's the guy that bought my 964 tip. He travels the length of the uk buying up 964's; SC's etc backdates and RS's them and they make £30k at brooklands. He's a really nice guy and making some decent money for himself.his testarossa on there too
Mine will be backdated and will go out at c£30k in the next auction

What do you mean by 'backdated'?

The description on the lot is what is totally out of order. If they had described it as a 3.2 based RS lookalike no one would have a problem.

I agree the ad makes it look like this is a genuine RS, that to the uninitiated would be bad enough, but even to someone who knew a bit about these cars it's clearly horribly misleading.
The car itself looks nice enough in the photos but the ad falls well foul:

"With the usual configurations available such as convertible, targa and coupé, there was also the option of the RS conversion which included such extras as a modified interior, teardrop wing-mirrors, a more streamlined front bumper treatment and slightly stiffer suspension. These are few and far between but is exactly what is on offer today."

This is a clear statement that would lead a prospective buyer into believing this was a factory conversion - very bad

According to the auction results it didn't sell. I assume it didn't reach its reserve. Did anyone actually bid on it? rolleyes
