Boxster 987 2.9 PSE retro fit.

After many months of deliberating, last week I took the plunge and ordered the factory sports exhaust from Carnewal in Holland.
I knew I had to have the PSE, its just I could not decide how to go about it.
OPC's would do the work for £2,000 but they insisted I lost my black tips and had the signature chrome tail pipes. My car has the design pack and it just looks so right with the black exhaust so I didn't want to lose that.
My local independant would fit the PSE with my black tip for approx £1,700, but then after some forum searching it appeared that the PSE does not operate under certain speed or mode conditions.
So, after some excellent advice from Gert I felt comfortable ordering the switchable PSE with his own fob for a fully manual operation of the valves.
The parcel arrived within a few days and it took maybe 5 hours to fit. Very clean and easy install.
Very happy with it, the noise is awesome. My only slight regret is that seeing as the valves have been open since fitting, I could have just had the old silencers modded and saved a substabtial amount of cash.
As it was, I had feared the noise would be too loud for the neighbours with the valves open but this is not the case.
Its done now, well happy with it. I just need to find some tunnels!
PS The old silencers will be on Ebay soon, ideal for modification... :-/
