Discussion
It was that Jerry Maguire moment – late one night, fortified by a couple of glasses of Bush[mills], I'm thinking I really must sort out those rusty outriggers when it hits me - I know I’ll take the body off and refurbish the chassis, running gear, suspension, brakes and whatever else catches my eye. Fast forward to today and 5 rather large [and expensive though to my wife everything was only £10 or 20 pounds] parcels arrive from David Gerald stuffed with all sorts of good thing and it starts to dawn on me that this isn’t going to be as easy I as I’d convinced myself it would be – particularly since the search function isn’t working!
So I’m turning to you good people with a few initial requests for help:-
Does anyone have a check list of items to be disconnected to allow the body to be lifted off.
Diaries, threads, blogs of previous body off restorations - S3.
I don’t intend to rebuild the engine while it’s out but I don’t mind doing a bit of an overhaul - any suggestions on the scope of this work.
And
An open invitation to chip in with advice, warnings, told you so or anything else that you can think of – all of which will be welcomed with open arms.
Cheers
Nigel
